Fight Like Hell for SSU
FLH300CLUB
Given the centrality of athletics in American higher education as a tool for recruitment of students, as a source for developing pride and general student retention, as a device to attract public support for the institution, and as a continuing bridge between alumni, the community, and the school, Savannah State University must continue to compete at the NCAA Division I level. Since joining Division I in 1999, SSU has seen the highest enrollment growth than at any other time during its history. In fact, during the time SSU has been in Division I, it has been one the fastest growing units of the University system of Georgia. Because of the unprecedented national exposure Division I competition has afforded SSU, and because of the concomitant and proximately related success of the institution as a whole, we have concluded that, continued Division I competition is a must for SSU. Our collective support is essential to the continued success of Savannah State Athletics.
The FLH 300 Club embodies the spirit of the 300 Spartans who defeated an army of more than 100,000 during the historic Battle of Thermopylae. We are an army of patriotic Tigers prepared to defend our University. We believe our student athletes are true ambassadors for Savannah State University and they deserve our unqualified support.
The 300 Club is an IRS recognized charity and all donations are fully deductible. Memberships are only $300.00 and all are welcome to join. Each membership includes a football season ticket and free tailgating at select football games.
